On Sunday the 9th of March, 21 people from the age of 1 to 95, gathered at Ropewalk Methodist Church to socialise, eat & worship as part of our Susanna’s table event.
A big thank you to Laura, Lyndsey and Steve (and Enzo) for being there at 7am to prepare the food. At 10am we began gathering & started by playing Lent bingo & decorating a display board on the theme of Lent/Easter. The room was filled with laughter & smiley faces as we played some silly games before setting the tables for lunch. After eating a chicken roast dinner with all the trimmings, followed by cake or trifle, we stayed at our tables and joined in a lovely service, led by Revd Andrew.
We also had a pancake party on Shrove Tuesday!
Everybody at Ropewalk would like to thank the District for the Grant that enabled us to put on these events. We usually have between 12 and 15 people at our Sunday services, so it was good to have 21 people at our main event.
