North Kirklees & Morley Circuit – Cleaner

North Kirklees & Morley Circuit are seeking a part-time Cleaner at Birstall Methodist Church, to carry out cleaning duties within the church building.

The person appointed will be required to keep the church building tidy and clean to a good standard, report any problems with the building, and make sure cleaning equipment is kept in good working order.

The role requires 3 hours per week, usually worked on Mondays between 9am and 12pm. This is a Permanent Contract, and the rate of pay is £12 per hour (or the Real Living Wage at the time of appointment), with the option to enrol in the Circuit’s workplace pension scheme. The role will be based at Birstall Methodist Church (WF17 9EJ).

Leeds South & West Circuit – Circuit Property Officer

Leeds South & West Circuit are seeking a part-time Circuit Property Officer to provide oversight and day to day management of premises in Circuit trusteeship.

The person appointed will be required to manage premises, oversee commercial lettings and Circuit bookings, complete financial transactions and keep records, and engage with tradespeople, members of the public, and users of the premises.

An Enhanced DBS Disclosure will be required for this role.

The role requires 20 hours per week, with core hours of 11am – 3pm on Wednesdays, and the remainder to be worked flexibly. This is a 2-Year Fixed Term Contract, and the rate of pay is £16.30 per hour, with enrolment in the Circuit’s workplace pension scheme. The role will be based at the Circuit Office in Armley (LS12 1UL).

Aire & Calder Circuit – Assistant Children & Families Worker

Aire & Calder Circuit are seeking an Assistant Children & Families Worker to support churches across the Circuit in their work with children and families.

The person appointed will be required to work in partnership with the ministers, the Children & Families Worker, church communities and ecumenical links; help children, families and young people explore the Christian faith; support existing leaders to develop circuit events; and support the mental health of children and young people.

An Enhanced DBS Disclosure with barred lists check will be required for this position, and an occupational requirement exists for the postholder to be a practicing Christian.

The role requires 35 hours per week, to be worked flexibly, with the possibility of some evening and weekend work. This is a Permanent Contract, and the rate of pay is between £13.07 and £13.99 per hour, with the option to enrol in the Circuit’s workplace pension scheme. The role will be based at the Circuit Office in Wakefield (WF1 5NU).
